Vintage Herod
"I'll preface by saying that Elixir 12 is a good fragrance in it's own right. I do think it differs a bit from the current formulation of PDM Herod though. From what I've read, the Herod that is currently is in stores is a little softer, sweeter, and more ISO E Super heavy. I've never smelled the old formulation, but I've also read it was darker, spicier and had a little more weight to it. That's what I get from this. The florals are turned down and the incense is boosted along with the woods and spices. It's still sweet, just not as much as actual Herod these days. It's a great fragrance, but just be aware it's probably closer to the vintage Herod than the current formulation. If you've ever smelled Atlas Fever by Ex Nihilo, this smells like a hybrid of that and today's Herod."
